With its individuality and its architecture, the Amalienpassage is also \"the liveliness of Maxvorstadt cast in mold\" (Alexander Reinelt) and a unique building with many corners and edges, but also very special corners, shapes and challenges. OPENING OF COURTYARDS CREATES OASIS IN THE BIG CITY<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The opening of the inner courtyards on the whole width from Amalienstrasse to T\u00fcrkenstrasse creates\u00a0a passageway usable by the public<\/strong>.<\/p>

Residential use has priority, but the intimate link with commercial units on the first floor brings life to the passage: it is neither a dead backyard, nor is it a lifeless and loveless shopping mall. Especially in view of today (2018), when there are many private shopping malls that are dead and lifeless on weekends, or new development areas where apartment block stands next to apartment block, the Amalienpassage can be admired in retrospect as an exemplary urban design. It takes the flair of the university area and fills it with\u00a0Living and with housing equally<\/strong>. In its center, its own character is created, shaped and maintained by the commitment of the tradesmen on the first floor.<\/p>

The liveliness of the Amalienpassage is therefore virtually inherent.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

VIBRANT SHAPES AND COLORS<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Amalienpassage is not interchangeable: almost every corner of the passage (still hand-drawn at the time), every window, seems different. The architect J\u00fcrgen von Gagern deliberately spoke in favor of the\u00a0Variety of forms against the monotony<\/strong>\u00a0out. He understood that architecture can and must be much more than a rectangular box that must be built as cheaply as possible. Architecture should represent the living and serve the living; one-sidedness, according to von Gagern, leads to monoculture and to malformation.<\/p>

This diversity is also found in the colors: a\u00a0award-winning color concept<\/strong>\u00a0by Eva von Gagern-H\u00fcbsch has set against the uniform look typical 70s colors and in ever so slightly changing tones to subtly please the eye. This special architecture was then made possible in Munich by the architect, who was awarded for his life's work\u00a0Contractor Fritz Eichbauer<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

SPACE FOR ART AND NOT COMMERCE<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Amalienpassage in Munich does not house any branches of interchangeable chains inside - the stores, restaurants and businesses are individual, the owners often local and personally involved.
The open spaces of the passage do not degenerate into display boards and advertising space -.\u00a0Individuality and the love of art is in the genes of the Amalienpassage<\/strong>. The proximity to the Academy of Fine Arts is expressed in various places:
The\u00a0Leporello from Gerd Winner<\/a>, former professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Adalberthof, shows a photo-technical installation, revolutionary in the 70s, which relates the historical, former stock of the Amalienstrasse with the modern forms of the Amalienpassage.
In the\u00a0sansaro art box<\/a>\u00a0ambitious artists can organize free of charge exhibitions in showcases, which can be viewed by the public from all sides.
The\u00a0Green areas are used for recreation of people<\/strong>\u00a0in the hustle and bustle of the big city, and the open spaces with fountains and stairs were deliberately intended by the architect and the city administration at the time to also provide play and leisure opportunities for children. The benches in the Amalienpassagen and especially the beautiful arcade in the Amalienhof S\u00fcd are also intended to be places for older passers-by to linger.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The restaurant sansaro<\/strong><\/a> is located in the middle courtyard of the Amalienpassage, in the Adalberthof. In the years around 2010, the Adalberthof unfortunately presented a rather dreary picture - unkempt green spaces, on which ivy and weeds grew aimlessly.<\/p>

We at SUSHIYA have taken the initiative and, in consultation with the property management, have taken care of the flower beds around the sansaro restaurant and our terrace with an enormous personal and also noticeable financial commitment. With the result that in the meantime\u00a0beautiful large and small Japanese fan maples<\/strong>\u00a0on the terrace, some flower beds are regularly tended by us and the Adalberthof has become a beautiful focal point for recreation seekers from all over the area. Especially in spring and autumn you should make a detour to the Adalberthof to enjoy the intense, changing colors of the Japanese maples.<\/p>

Even though it may be \u201cinvisible\u201d to outsiders, we are committed to ensuring that Amalienpassage is a well-maintained place with a positive atmosphere and good, respectful interaction between residents and businesses. Because the Amalienpassage is not just a collection of a few shops and a few hundred apartments \u2013 it is a very special place, an oasis of \u201ccheerful intimacy\u201d (a term from the 1977 opening brochure) in the middle of the city. We are proud that we have found exceptional support and approval from a large number of owners in this heterogeneous complex. Today, we are proud and grateful that many passers-by perceive the Adalberthof as a particularly beautiful oasis, which has gained its beauty through our years of constant commitment to this courtyard and its planting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
