Valentine's Day 2025 – a butterfly in winter

Table of contents

As always, we have prepared something very special for Valentine's Day 2025.

A little treat: if you can't make it on Valentine's Day this time, you can also enjoy the menu on February 15 and 16 at our restaurant (instead of our Seasonal menus „Journey to Japan Winter Solstice") Try it!

Valentine's Day 2025 Menu
Butterflies that bloom in winter
Hyōsetsu no chō

On Valentine's Day 2025, as always on February 14, we will not be offering à la carte dishes or takeaway orders. The entire kitchen team will be focusing on the special 6-course menu on site.

The menu will include sushi, sashimi, a small steak made from Japanese Wagyū beef, king crab, and, as always, a homemade dessert. The menu will cost a very reasonable €140, and we recommend pairing it with our sake/wine selection.

On this day, as always, no à la carte and no Delivery service/pickup.

Tip: With the sushi combo, you can also order two small open temaki with uni ikura and hirame wasabi mayo if you wish!

„氷雪の蝶“ embodies the delicate balance between fragility and resilience, elegance in adversity, and the transience of life amid the silence of winter.

Feedback on the Valentine's Day menu 2025

Every time, we work in the kitchen, management, and service with much more effort than you can imagine to offer our guests a well-rounded experience and take them on a journey into Japanese cuisine. Whenever we are completely exhausted from our efforts and feel uncertain about whether we can win over new guests who have never been here before, or inspire our regulars who have already experienced many of our menus, we are always showered with generous praise and are relieved that our efforts are bearing fruit and happy that they are delighting our guests.

From the first course to the last, we were met with enthusiasm, and we are truly proud and grateful for the wonderful feedback. It means a lot to us, thank you very much. And for those who haven't tried the menu yet: do it! Our menus are worth the trip. And somehow we're still an insider tip...but understand that if you will 😉

Free cancellation until Tuesday, February 11, 2024, at 4 p.m., thereafter only if another guest occupies the table in the event of cancellation. If you only want to make a reservation for one person, please contact us in advance.

If you can't find a table, Please feel free to register via the Contact form with details such as desired and possible time: this way we can always make some guests happy at short notice.

Depending on the size of your group, the table will then be reserved for you for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Please pay close attention to whether you want to sit at a „standard table“ or on Japanese tatami mats, which are rice straw mats, where you take off your shoes. If you make a reservation using the English OpenTable interface, this is sometimes not clearly indicated.

Please note that this time we are unable to offer vegetarian options or cater to specific allergies. A Gluten-free menu options, for example, are very difficult to find in Japanese cuisine.. However, upon request, we can replace the meat course with a meatless alternative of the kitchen's choice.
