Muku is an entry-level sake into the world of Koshi no Kanbai, simply because it almost always goes well with food and is not that expensive.

Muku -- A pure, elegant Junmai Daiginjo

„Muku“ is a Junmai Daiginjō, which lives up to its name – because „Muku“ means „pure“ or „unadulterated.“ This sake is characterized by its exceptional clarity and purity of taste.

Aroma of Muku

The aroma is subtle and delicate, with notes of white flowers and a hint of Nashi pear – restrained, but extremely refined. Nothing overpowering, but rather a quiet, elegant expression in which aroma and taste are in perfect balance. On the palate, the sake is silky and smooth with a delicate sweetness and gentle acidity that unfold harmoniously. The impression is almost water-like – clear, light, and insightful. Despite its full body, the finish remains surprisingly clean and refreshing.

Recommended serving temperature

Sake can be enjoyed in a wide variety of ways. Drinking temperatures be drunk.

Whether slightly chilled or at room temperature, Muku always unfolds its full potential. Japanese sake lovers also enjoy this delicate drink slightly warmed to around 40 degrees Celsius—a way of drinking known as nurukan (ぬる燗).

Our conclusion on Muku

Koshi no Kanbai „Muku“ is a sake that delights not with volume, but with quiet depth—an invitation to discover the true beauty of sake in its purest form.
